Betty Kirksey

Betty Graham Kirksey, 94, passed away in her home on November 29, 2023. She was born on April 21,1929 to Malcolm and Mae Graham. Betty was raised in Montgomery, AL and moved to Pike Road, AL when she married her husband, Richard, in 1952. Mrs. Kirksey was a hardworking and loving person; devoted to those she loved. She worked alongside her husband operating a dairy farm, growing soybeans, and raising beef cattle.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas Richard Kirksey; father, Malcolm Billingsley Graham; mother, Mae Hamilton Graham; brother, Malcolm Billingsley “Billy” Graham Jr.; and sister, Rosamond Graham.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Kirksey (Dale) Jones; granddaughters, Alana Jones (Logan) Breedlove and Kirksey Jones (Austin) Beach; and great-granddaughters Averiett Elise Breedlove and Mary Hayes Breedlove.

The family is deeply grateful to Takeisha Searcy, Sandra Simmons, Lillie Harris, and Monikue Seabon for their committed and compassionate care.

A visitation for Betty will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109 with a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tom Smith officiating.
