She is preceded in death by her husband, Joel R Brown Jr; parents Lyman and Elsie Sumrall; Parents in law, Joel and Annie Brown; son, Robert H Thompson, Jr; son in law Sam "Bo" Botts III; sister, Nell Anderson; brothers, Frazier Sumrall and Byron Sumrall; sisters in law, Shirley Sumrall, Patty Sumrall, Gayle Sumrall, Della Sumrall, and Carolyn Moorer; brothers In Law, Shelton Brown, Sam Brown, and Jeff Moorer.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
