He went on to live 10 more months, was discharged from hospice care, accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized while still in stage 4 cancer. The last few months of his life were some of the most joyful days he lived expressing he did not take a day of his life for granted but knew God extended his life for a reason:
Anthony is survived by his mother, Ozie B. Owens and his brother DeWayne Owens and sister-in-law Dolores Owens of McKinney, Texas. Anthony also leaves behind numerous other loving family and friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Willie T. Owens.
