Alabama. Ann was born at home on Clanton Ave. Montgomery Not far from her beloved Episcopal
Church of the Ascension. Ann was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and Huntingdon College. She
and her husband Bernard met in the 1940's and were married in 1943 after Bernard came home from
his tour with the Army Air Corps in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska during WW2. Ann is survived by hers
and Bernard's three Children Bernard Stephen, Antoinette (Calandria) and John Olson. Ann became a
building contractor prior to becoming a real estate appraiser in business with her husband. She was the
first woman to become a member of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. In the course of
their business Ann and Bernard did a lot of traveling to small towns in the area so she and he found it
advantageous to get their pilots licenses. So they did.
In addition to her appraisal work Ann found great energy in her art and after retirement she added a
Studio to their house and she spent many hours painting and sculpting. In 2005 Ann won first place for
her painting in the First National Bank show.
