Sheila Irene Gentry

Sheila Irene Gentry, age 93, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Sheila was born December 17, 1927 in Folkstone, England. She was retired from Bromberg's. Sheila enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing card games and spending time with her family. She was loving and giving and will be missed by all who knew her.

Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Simpson; her husband, Ralph Gentry; her brother, Malcolm Simpson; and her sister, Jean Simpson.

Survivors include her sons, Craig Gentry (Sandra), Scott Gentry, and Tracy Gentry (Dawn); 3 grandchildren, Jason Gentry (Laura), Stacy Hicks (Bubba), and Ryan Gentry; 4 great-grandchildren, Peyton & Deacon Hicks, and Riley & Avery Kate Gentry; brothers, Ian Simpson and David Simpson; and sisters, Valerie Greene (Jim) and Cynthia Graham.

The family would like to express a special thank you to her loving caregivers at Somerby, Comfort Care Hospice, and Your Choice Senior Care.

A graveside service for Sheila will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:15 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. The service may be viewed remotely via livestream at www.facebook.com/rockcofuneralhome.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
