Robert “Bob” Lee Hall, age 84, went to spend eternity with Jesus on August 16, 2023. Born April 26, 1939, to Jessie Marie Hill Hall and Homer Franklin Hall in Zanesville, OH, his family relocated to Phoenix, AZ when he was 7 years old. He graduated from South Mountain High School in 1957 and went to Phoenix College in 1958. He started in the mail room at Arizona Public Service (APS) then became a draftsman. Bob studied nights to earn an electrical engineering certificate to become an electrical engineer and then moved to Douglas, AZ as division manager. He transitioned to Southwest Gas as a division manager in Sierra Vista, AZ until he retired. Bob moved to Tucson, AZ and later to Bryson City, NC where he spent his last 13 years enjoying the Smokey Mountains.
Bob had a servant’s heart. He was a faithful member in churches where he lived. He served in many capacities including: ordained deacon, church treasurer, children Sunday School teacher, youth volunteer (when his children were teenagers) and in any other areas where there was a need. He was an active member of Gideons International and the Lions Club International for many years. Beyond these, he spent years assisting aging friends by driving them to doctor appointments, visiting some in nursing homes, taking others to local high school football games and local concerts, taking them to the barber or grocery store, or just spending an hour or a day just visiting and drinking coffee. He was devoted to his family! He was a wonderful loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
His memories are cherished by his wife Anita June Hall; children, Robert “Bob” Hall, Steve Hall (Brenda), Michael Hall, and Lori Arvizu (Rudy); his brother, Ralph Hall (Beverly); his grandchildren, Josh Hall (Amy), Zach Hall (Sommer), Ruth Hall Beyer (William), Melissa Hall Hayes (Aaron), David Hall (Karissa), Jonathon Hall, Alex Arvizu (Julia), Tyler Arvizu, Nate Arvizu, and Angelina Arvizu; great-grandchildren, Naomi Hall, Esther Hall, Timothy Hall, Graceson Hall, Melody Hall, Collin Hall, Maddox Beyer, Amia Beyer, Kailyn Beyer, Michael Hall, Daniel Hall, and Oliver Hall; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
