Nancy Christine Barclay-Cunningham

Nancy Christine Barclay-Cunningham, entered into rest on April 24, 2018. Born August 02, 1966; Nancy was taken from this Earth too soon but, we may find solace in knowing she no longer feels pain, nor sorrow, nor mourning.

Nancy was always a free spirited and adventurous woman, she could make a home anywhere because home was in her heart; given the choice, Nancy wanted to be on the beach, she loved the ocean, the sun, and the sand.

She was a woman of immense talent and in her younger years, was on the cheer squad, studied piano, and ballet. She loved so much, she found so much beauty in this world, but the one thing she held above all else was her family; Nancy was an amazing mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. According to her brother she was smarter than any one he knew, and her children say she was the best cook in the entire world. She enjoyed playing dress up with her grandchildren, showing them all of her fashion tricks. Being a Grandmother and Mother were the greatest gifts Nancy could ask for.

Nancy will join in Heaven her father, Jerry Wayne Barclay Sr. and her precious granddaughter Brooklyn Nevaeh Jones.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her adoring husband, Alvin Cunningham, daughter, Devin Sims (Douglas), son, Jonathan Jones, grandchildren; Aubri, Dalton, Braxton, and Heavenly Sims, mother, Cathy J. Fant, brother, Jerry Wayne Barclay Jr(Andrea), sister, Vicki Roberts (Zachary), and 8 Nieces and Nephews.

Nancy was an amazing soul who radiated beauty wherever she went, there was not a room she walked into that did not immediately light up, though she is gone her memory will be carried on through the lives she has touched and the people who love her.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). A celebration of life will occur Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM, at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) in the Chapel, followed by fellowship and meal in the Parlor.
