Juanita Chambers, age 77, of Calera, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. Juanita was originally from Streator, Illinois and graduated from Mendota High School in 1965. Upon graduation, Mrs. Chambers was employed in the hospitality field where she retired from the Hampton Inn of Calera in 2018. Mrs. Chambers met her beloved husband while she was a hotel manager in Calera. They became pen pals and were married in October 1998 in Gatlinburg, after getting engaged on July 4, 1998.
Mrs. Chambers was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse, loved to read and enjoyed crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Chambers; father, Charles Francis Allen; and mother, Rita Jean Work Allen.
She is survived by her son, Perry St. Martin of Joplin, Missouri; and brothers, Charles Robert Allen of Indiana and Ralph Work Allen of Mississippi.
According to her wishes to be remembered how she was, no service will be held.
