Greg Davis

Greg Davis, age 66, of Calera, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. He grew up in Avondale, Alabama and graduated from Ramsay High School. Greg was a lifelong music lover, beginning with gospel music with The Crusaders and The Lancers. He followed that passion throughout his life, singing, song-writing and playing guitar in several bands, most recently with Jan Shackleford's The Archer Band. Greg was also an active member of AA, recently celebrating 17 years of sobriety in March, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Martha Davis. Greg is survived by his wife, Cindy Davis; son, Chad Davis (Jamie); step-son, Adam Wyatt (Jessa); step-daughter, Jessica Lawley (Sean); grandchildren, Jaxon Davis, Cooper & Breionna Jones, Aiby & Jacob Wyatt, and Andrew, Paisley & Cooper Lawley; Siblings, Susan Evans (Bob), Phillip Davis (Heather) and Cheryl Riley (Terry); and seven nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Greg will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM. Chaplain Keith Jones will officiate. A showman to the end, please honor Greg with your best party attire.

Greg will be laid to rest with a private service in Harless Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
