Betty Louise Day

Betty Louise Day, age 86, of Pelham, Alabama passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Betty was born December 28, 1931. Betty was a homemaker and raised two children in Montevallo, Alabama with her husband. She loved to read, especially the bible, and to travel. She and her husband traveled across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Scotland. She was also a seamstress and loved to sew her own clothes as well as other projects.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Williams E. Alford and Ruth Esther Moore Alford; and brothers, Edwin "Pete" Alford, Mike Alford, and Billy Alford; and granddaughter, Carlie Rose.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Lawrence "Larry" Day; Children, Casey Day (Lynn), and Caroline Rose (Benny); grandchildren, Ashley Day, Meaghan Rose, and Allie Rose; great -granddaughter, Peyton Rose; 5 siblings, as well as a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Betty was a quiet and pure woman, who devoted herself to taking care of her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her loved ones.

A Visitation will be held at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) on Friday December 28,2018 at 12:30 pm followed by a Celebration of life at 1:00 pm. A committal service will be at Alabama National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
