Jorge Alberto Morales Hernandez, better known to his loved ones as “Koky,” passed away on June 18, 2024 in Glendale, California. Born on December 28, 1947 in El Salvador, to Jesus Morales and Lidia Hernandez, Koky spent the majority of his life in the greater Los Angeles area.
Koky is survived by his wife, Gloria Morales, and together, built a life surrounded by friends and family, but nothing more sacred to them than their three sons, Jorge Jr., Carlos and Robert. Koky was also a loving father to two daughters, Sandra and Gina.
Koky and Gloria’s 56 year marriage is a true testament of love and courage that can not only be seen through his children, but also his grandchildren, Giovanni, Robert Jr., Ryan, Natalia, George and Emma. Family was an important aspect of Koky’s life, that until his last breath, he kept his siblings and other family members all across the world on his mind, so much so that when Albania scored a goal against Italy in this year’s Euro cup, he knew his sister, Corina, back in Milan, would be upset.
Koky’s love of life was felt by all through his charisma and charming personality, though his quick wit was not to be ignored. From the various nicknames he would give to people, to the jokes and stories he would tell, Koky enjoyed every single moment of life and living on earth. Music and dancing were his other great loves…to watch Koky dance with his beloved wife was not only captivating, it was truly mesmerizing.
In honor of Koky’s last wishes, he will be buried on Friday, July 12, 2024 in a private ceremony with immediate family and close friends. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
