Kevin passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born March 22nd 1954 in Bowling Green Kentucky where his father was serving in the Air Force. He was the fifth of ten children.
He lived the majority of his life in Washington, the last 39 years at his home in Monroe.
He graduated Everett High School in 1972, and served time in the Army. He was hired by the United States Post Office in November 1977 and retired in March 2009.
Kevin had many interests. He enjoyed working in his yard and garden, and bowling (he bowled 2 perfect games in league bowling!).
His true passion was baseball and he had an amazing recall for baseball statistics. In his youth, in 1965, his Everett Little League team placed 2nd in the state. He passed that love of baseball onto his grandson, Benning.
Kevin is survived by his beloved daughter, Kacy Lewis, Grandchildren, Hannah, Allison and Benning Lewis, and Stephanie Harris, with whom he shared a steadfast and loving friendship.
He is also survived by his brother Paul Carlin, his closest friend; sisters Sheila Hart, Sandra Carlin, Sally Leek, Susan Carlin, Sonja Carlin, Sherrilyn Viner, Stacy Carlin and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Norma Carlin, and infant brother William Joseph.
Kevin's greatest joy was his Grandchildren and he devoted his life to them. Rest In Peace Kevin, you are so loved and will be greatly missed.
