Tommy Blair Carpenter

Tommy Blair Carpenter, age 79, of Marshville, passed away on October 13, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born in Union County on December 8, 1937, son of the late Fred and Ruth Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Ocie Mae Griffin Carpenter.

Tommy is survived by his daughters, Tonda Griffin, Stacy Lane LeMaster, Norma Medlin and husband Jeffrey and Jodi Henley and husband Shayne; eight grandchildren, Tyler Griffin, Blair Griffin, Joe H. LeMaster III and wife Amanda, Jacob LeMaster and wife April, Dallas Medlin, Jennah Medlin, Shayne Henley II, and Madison Henley; his great-grandchild, Braxleigh LeMaster; his sisters, Jean Smith and husband Richard, Pat Helms and husband Kenneth, Ann Traywick and husband Bill and Jane Griffin; sister-in-law, Betty Carpenter and his brother-in-law, Tommy Bradley.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A graveside service will be held 11:00am Friday, October 20, 2017 in Hamiltons Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
