Mrs. Linda Kay Starnes

She was born November 22, 1947 in Union County, NC, the daughter of the late Mr. Clarence Smith Moser and the late Mrs. Mary Lee Helms. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: William Hoyt “Bill” Starnes on March 17, 2014.

Mrs. Starnes is survived by one son: Clarence Michael Starnes and wife Tasha of Waxhaw, NC; one daughter: Krystal S. Sims and husband Nicholas of Monroe, NC; one grandchild: Colton Lee Sims; one sister: Jean Starnes and husband Furman of Waxhaw, NC

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Friday December 26, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Starnes will be 1:00 PM Saturday December 27, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Craven Chavis, Pastor Danny Johnson, and Larry Collins, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1418 Clarksville Campground Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
