Letha H. Braswell

Letha Honeycutt Braswell, age 90, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2017. She was born in Union County on July 2, 2017, daughter of the late Wriston and Eunice Honeycutt. Letha was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Braswell; her son, Stephen Braswell; her two brothers, Garry Honeycutt and Lloyd Honeycutt; and her grandson, David Braswell. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Braswell; her daughter, Donna Braswell Hinson (Rockie); her sister, Rachel Polk (Jake); her two grandchildren, Charles R. Purser (Laura) and Phillip Purser (Kelly); her three great-grandchildren, Megan and Lucas Braswell and Maezie Purser. The family would like to thank Frances Griffin Baker for her compassionate care shown during the past year.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate Mrs. Braswell’s life will be 1:00pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church with interment following in Lakeland Memorial Park.
