She was born in Union County on June 1, 1928, daughter of the late Cyrus and Pearl Edwards. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Rollins; her son, Mitchell Rollins; her sisters, Josephine Simpson, Verla McDonald, Ruth Gaskins, Dorothy Rollins and her brother, Craven Edwards.
Lavinia is survived by her son, Ronald Rollins (Jean); her grandchildren, Vanghi Hardin (Jeff) and Renay Maulden; her great-grandchildren, Haley Hardin, Colton Hardin and Kendal Maulden; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Rollins.
The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until 2:00pm Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Lee Park Baptist Church Chapel with a service to celebrate Lavinia’s life beginning at 2:00pm in the church chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
