Kenneth Wayne Smith, age 53, of Wingate, rode into the sunset on May 24, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Charlotte, NC on May 12, 1964, the son of Walter and Mary Ann Smith.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Roger Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly; his son, Corey Smith; his daughter, Katie Bunch; his brother, John Smith; his sister, Ann Smith.
He served as a Paramedic and Operations Supervisor at Union EMS for 24 years.
A service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be 3:00PM Sunday, May 28, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe.
