Joyce Baucom Williams

Born, November 12, 1934, in Union County, NC, Joyce was the daughter of the late Roy Baucom and Myrtle Florence Belk Baucom. She was a member of Benton’s Cross Roads Baptist Church. She was a self-employed poultry farmer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Williams; her sister, Mattie Elizabeth “Libby” Baucom Barbee and brother-in-law, Ray of Indian Trail, NC.

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Angela W. Eudy (Gary) of Monroe, and Belinda W. Crisco (Terrell) of Matthews, NC; her grandchildren, Mika E. Purser (David) of Monroe, Brian Crisco (Danielle) of Huntersville, and Lauren C. Sanchez (Jeremy) of Indian Trail, NC; and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, James “Jim” Baucom (Shirley) of Stanfield, NC.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe with visitation being held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the McEwen Colonial Chapel with burial immediately following at Benton’s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Novant Health Hospice for their kindness, care, and compassion in caring for their mother.

In lieu of flowers, contributions and memorials can be made to the Benton’s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 109 Lawyers Road East, Monroe, NC as well as Novant Health Hospice of Charlotte.
