Deborah Armstrong Meek, age 69, of Wingate, North Carolina passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Debbie was born and raised in Charlotte and graduated from Garringer High School in 1971. She was an administrative assistant for the City of Charlotte and also Dogwood Fabric. Debbie later worked in Home Health and eventually cared for her parents. Upon their death, Debbie relocated to Wingate where she spent the last ten years of her life.
Debbie is predeceased by her parents, James and Helen Armstrong. She is survived by her sisters, Geri Usery of Charlotte, NC and Diane (Pat) Hawkins of Monroe, GA , longtime dear friend Barbara Clark as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for Deborah will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, 204 South Main Street, Monroe, NC. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM officiated by Pastor Roger Gilreath followed by a committal service at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1612 Oaklawn Ave, Charlotte, NC.
