He was born on October 18, 1967 in Union County to the late Arnold Wade Griffin and the late Patsy Manus Griffin.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Helen Pigg Griffin; one son, Scott Griffin (Malissa) of Graham, North Carolina; two daughters, Megan Coleman (Jordan) of Manning, South Carolina and Hannah Griffin (Kyle) of Pageland, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jace Griffin, Savannah Griffin, Roscoe Lane, Oakley Griffin, Stetson Griffin, and Michael Griffin (unborn). He is also survived by a sister, Cindy Richardson (John); a niece, Amber Johnston (Bailey, two kids, Laynie and Hadley Johnston); and one nephew, Trevor Horne.
Mr. Griffin was a die hard Tarheel fan. He loved watching his favorite team and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. He loved to give certain kids a hard time for being a North Carolina State fan. If you were to ask him what he liked to do the most he would say, “spending time with my grandkids”. He would have done anything for his wife and kids but especially his grandkids. He could never go wrong with watching old westerns or listening to the “good country” as he would say like George Jones or Conway Twitty. Running morning errands won’t be the same without listening to the Swap shop on WIXE radio.
