Dan was a talented guitarist and dedicated music and art enthusiast. He enjoyed fixing motorcycles and cars but found the greatest joy in spending time with his son, Danny. Daniel was a proud father watching Danny play baseball and together as father and son, they loved watching movies, playing basketball, dancing and listening to music. Although Daniel ultimately succumbed to his long battle with addiction, he will be remembered as the fun-loving, easy-going, music-loving, good-hearted person we all knew him to be. Daniel was a father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend, he had many friends and was a friend to all, he was very loved and will be deeply missed.
Dan leaves behind his son, Danny, who was his life and light; loving mother and stepfather, Danielle and Mike, who adored and supported him; his Nana, Mary, with whom he spent much time loving and caring for; his much loved siblings, Brianna, Erin Reili, Zoi, Caden and Zac; his father and step-mother, Dan and Sony; the mother of his beloved son, Elizabeth as well as four nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Secrest Grove Baptist Church, 4505 Weddington Road, Monroe NC, with a service to celebrate and remember Daniel’s life immediately following. The family invites all to join them after the service for dinner in the Fellowship Hall to continue celebrating Daniel's life. Dan loved his sweets! There will be a table set up for any sweet or dessert you'd like to bring as a final tribute to Daniel. You may drop these items off in the Fellowship Hall, where there will be someone to greet and direct you.
