Cecil Ray Paxton, age 75, of Monroe, passed away on February 4, 2016. He was born in Union County on October 26, 1940, the son of Minnie Freeman.
Cecil was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Frank Paxton. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Johnnie Paxton; his daughter, Julie Neal (Tim); four grandchildren, Linda Burnette (Joel), David Starnes (Carrie Anne), Kim Neal and Chris Neal; nine great-grandchildren, Ayden, Madison, Triston, Anthony, Matthew, Jackson, Donovan, Chyenne, and Logan; one great-great grandchild, Peyton; and extended family member, Tyler Currie.
A graveside service for Mr. Paxton will be held 2:00pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is serving the Paxton family.
