Patricia was born in Lawrence, MA on October 31, 1937, to the late George and Elizabeth (Poulin) Austin and later moved to Monroe, CT, where she has lived for the last 65 years. She was an aide in the Monroe public school system and retired from Avco-Lycoming as an executive secretary. Patricia was active in her community and served on the Monroe Town Council.
Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family , she had a network of many friends whom she cherished, and her favorite activity was making donations to the area’s casinos, always hoping to win the big jackpot
Patricia spent many years at her second home in Port Charlotte Florida, soaking up sun at the beach and the pool. Having friends who became a second family to her kept her very occupied.
She loved to read, entertain her friends, play cards monthly with the “card group”, and go out for Saturday night dinners with her children and grand children.
She will be missed by many and has left a huge hole in many hearts.
Survivors include her devoted children, Thomas Schutte of Seymour, and Kevin Schutte and his wife Denise of Monroe; cherished grandchildren Thomas, Samantha, and Nicholas; and brother Arthur Poulin of New Hampshire.
