Lucy (Caruso) Farrell, of Monroe, entered into Eternal Rest after a brief illness on September 4th, 2023, in St Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, surrounded by her family and friends.
She leaves behind her beloved sons, Matthew T Farrell III and Nicholas S Farrell, her brother John Caruso (Maureen) and Sisters, Gina James (Michael), Jennie Perry (Charles), Patricia Caruso (Tom Ferrone). Also, her Sister in laws Linda Piccuillo, (Ron) and Lorraine Inzerra, (Phil), many loving nieces and nephews, as well as great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her loving husband Matthew T Farrell Jr. of 31 years, her parents Nunzio and Argentina Caruso, Mother-in-law Francis Wignell, her sister Nancy Caruso, and nephew Michael James.
At a young age, She enjoyed playing the accordion and had a natural singing voice. During her teens she performed in many events as a member of “Sing Out Monroe’ as well as the national group “Up with People”. She was part of Masuk High School choir and was affectionately nicknamed “The Helen Reddy of Masuk High" in her yearbook.
Lucy loved her home, cooking, gardening and worked as a bookkeeper for various companies. Lucy loved Ice Hockey and never missed watching a Rangers Game. She was an avid reader and found the Bible gave her peace while allowing her to reflect on life.
