Lorraine R. Thibault

Longtime Monroe, Connecticut resident Lorraine Rita Thibault passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at age 94. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Monroe. She worked for many years at Jenkins Brothers.

Lorraine was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Hector and Aurora (Gendron) Thibault. She was predeceased by sisters Claire (and George) Frye, Annette (and Joseph) Bodnar, Marie Jean (and Henry) Hyde, Jean Marie Thibault, and brothers George (and Annette) and Richard (and Irma). She is survived by her cousin Henry Gendron of California and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Reading was one of her enjoyments in life. Lorraine also loved to knit baby blankets for all her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also knitted many throughout the years for others with her knitting club friends. Lorraine will also be remembered for cooking, baking, and hosting many holiday dinners and for her love of her siblings. Aunt Lorraine’s greeting of “Hellooo” at her home brought a smile to us all.

A requiem mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke. Interment to immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 315 Buckingham Ave in Milford, Connecticut.
