Joan was born September 20, 1934, in Bridgeport, CT where she met her husband of over 60 years, Robert Marshall, and is now back in his arms again in Heaven. Joan is the daughter of Rudolph Sabados and Ann Bordash Sabados. Joan had a long full-time career working at Harvey Hubbell Inc. in the Quality Department as a Blueprint Technician. After retiring, she spent much of her time road tripping across America with her Bobby. They often found themselves experiencing interesting adventures of which they loved to share the stories.
Joan loved to bake and was amazing at it. Friends and family would often make requests and Joan never failed at fulfilling those “orders.” She also loved to cook Hungarian meals, read mystery novels, and watch old black and white films. Her absolute favorite thing to do was to make sure that everyone around her, whether she knew them well or not, was well taken care of. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be sorely missed.
Joan leaves behind her beloved daughter Deb; her adoring grandchildren Heather (Jerry), Eric (Katie), and Leah (Steve); her sister Linda Sabados of New Hampshire, her nieces Staci, Theresa and Holly, nephews Rudy Jr. and Chris.
Joan was predeceased by her brothers Rudy and Steve, her niece Stephanie and nephew Christopher.
