Geraldine Cranney

Born in Bridgeport, CT, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Gus Petrasy and Maryanna (Racki) Petrasy.

She was predeceased by her loving husbands, Robert D. Cranney and Bernard L. Hansen.

She leaves behind two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Hansen Vaglivelo (Alan) of Monroe, CT; and Cynthia Hansen Lishawa (Kevin), of Ridgefield, CT. And four grandchildren, Jordan and Tyler Vaglivelo, and Hannah and Owen Lishawa. She also leaves behind her brother, Augie Petracy, of Huntington Beach, CA. In addition to several Cranney step-children and their spouses and children, whom she loved very much.

“Gerri”, as she was known to friends, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She retired after working for 30 years as a Customer Service Manager for Southern New England Telephone Company. She then went on to work for HealthNet, and the Town of Prospect. She was a Middle School Youth Advisor for the Stratford United Methodist Church, and a Junior Achievement Advisor for SNET.

Gerri loved cooking, baking, gardening, and enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.

A private burial will take place at a future date.
