She was born to the late Eugene and Mary Forte Corbett on October 30, 1935. She was predeceased by Richard D’Amore Sr.
Elsie Attended the University of Bridgeport, where she received a BS degree in Nursing. She went on to work as an industrial nurse for various companies in Bridgeport. Foremost, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Richard D’Amore Jr., Carolyn (Ronald) Sierer and Monica Bonito. Her grandchildren: Carly (Joseph) Nicolia, Christina (Mark) Moura, Kurt Sierer, Matthew Bonito, Patrick (Amanda) Fitzmorris, Duane Fitzmorris, her great grandchildren plus her adoring kitty: Maryloo.
She will be forever in our hearts and remembered as a devoted mother and a great cook. She enjoyed music, travel and shopping. She was a huge lover of animals.
The family would like to thank all those at the Jewish Home for the Elderly especially those in Rosenberg House and Hospice that showed so much compassion and care for her.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Monday December 10, 2018 at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Immediately following will be a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at ST. Jude’s Church 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
