He was a U.S. Army veteran having served as a First Lieutenant in the Corps of engineers. He earned his Bachelors and Master Degrees in Engineering from Drexel University and the University of Bridgeport respectively and was a member of the Phi Tau Sigma honorary engineering society. He retired from Avco/Textron Lycoming in 1992 after 39 years of service as an Engineer and Business Executive. He authored many technical papers and held several patents related to the technology of gas turbine engines. After retirement, he participated as a volunteer at the Norwalk Maritime Center and served as President of the Connecticut Air and space Center.
Charles is predeceased by his sister, Mazie. Survivors include his Beloved wife of 66 years, Leslie J. Kuintzle; his devoted Children, daughter Audry and husband Todd Price, of Oxford, CT; Son, Eric and his wife Linda of Windsor, CT; treasured grandson Trenton Price; Brother Albert G. Kuintzle of Cape May, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
