Angie, called “Sis” by her family, was born in Bridgeport to Anthony and Sue Corso on January 22, 1934. She spent her later childhood in St. Louis, MO and then moved to Fairfield and studied dressmaking at Bullard Havens Technical School, Bridgeport graduating in 1951. She married Frank Galli on May 18, 1957 in Bridgeport. She worked as a Floor Girl for Warner Brothers (Warnaco), Bridgeport for 7 years. She spent the remainder of her life as a Homemaker. After the death of her beloved husband, Frank, in 1966, Angie then became a full-time parent to their two children.
Angie had an integral part in changing the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation laws to create equity in increase of survivors benefits to include all survivors regardless of when their spouse died.
Angie loved her friends and family and showed them by presenting them with handmade gifts. Many a night before Christmas her hands were busy trying to complete one or more projects. Whether it was quilting, crocheting, embroidery or assorted crafts you could be sure what you received was made with love.
Angie also enjoyed singing and playing the piano, bowling, and reminiscing about St. Louis with her brothers. Those who knew and loved her will miss her positive outlook on life, the way she cared for others and most of all, her love.
