Janet R. Martin

Janet R. Martin, age 74, of Beecher, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 5, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Randy Martin; beloved children: Jeff (Christi) Gould, Ryan Martin, John (Amy) Gould and Regan (Mindi) Martin-Lawrence; cherished grandchildren: Michael, Deaven, Melanie, Dylan, Flin, Chase, Chloe, Kyle and Corey; proud great grandmother of 6; dear sister of Marcia (Joe) Gardner.

Preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Dorothy Cowger and daughter, Rachel Martin.

Janet worked as a Legal Secretary for 18+ years and a long time parishioner of Trinity church where, over the years, she served on the altar guild, PTO, secretary and various other positions. She loved to read, bowl, snow ski and play BUNCO. Most of all, Janet enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was their biggest fan and cheerleader. Everyone on the team looked forward to her chocolate chip cookies!

Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church (1393 Elizabeth St., Crete, IL)
