He was a man of many talents. He worked with his brothers to build his first house, constantly tinkered with cars, motorcycles, boats, and carpentry, taught himself drafting, and worked his way up to sales and sales consulting in a company where he served for 50 plus years. All while taking care of his children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. In his later years, after he was widowed, he was lucky enough to have a second family that he shared with us, and he loved them, their kids and grandchildren, just as much.
He was happy, had no regrets, he did not compromise his principles and was willing to share any wisdom he could with whomever would listen.
He loved to travel and had fond memories of domestic and international locations. He also loved to cook and made sure that he cooked what you wanted, not what he wanted to cook. I can’t say enough good things about him. He was well-loved and well-thought-of; truly a kind and generous soul.
Granddaddy is survived by his significant other, Ms. Martha Stober; children, Brandi Rogers and Scott Rogers (Lisa); grandchildren, Nick Koldewijn, Zac Rogers (Haley), and Abbey Rogers; great-granddaughter, Paisley Rogers; siblings, Carolyn Bunkley (Charlie), Terry Rogers (Karen), Carlos Rogers (Debbie); many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Towner and Myrta Rogers, and his wife, Joyce Minchew Rogers.
