Tammi was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School in 1989. She attended Alabama A&M University. While there, she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also got her first Bachelors Science Degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and then an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Later, Tammi attended Chamberlain College of Nursing where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in June 2016.
Tammi was a nurse for more than 20 years. She did a little travel-nursing, but her last position was as a case management nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Tammi was a business owner, having started Her Time Out in downtown Mobile, and she was a published author as well.
Tammi is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Lambert Pair; one son, Christopher Antoine Dixon; one sister, Vekeisha (Spencer) Lambert Lackey; two brothers, Dewitt Lambert IlI and Claude Miller; five nieces, four nephews and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
