Steve Wright

Steve Wright – a 72 year-old native of Mobile, Alabama and resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama passed away at his home on Monday, August 14, 2023. Mr. Wright was formerly employed with Liberty National Life Insurance as a sales representative and manager for 26 years. He was also an employee at Kemira pulp and paper for 14 years. He was a member of two local mystic societies and was an avid boater.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Wright. Mr. Wright is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Rita C. Wright; two daughters, Jeanue Shoemaker (Harry) and Lauren Horn (Matt); grandsons, Jayden Morris, Barrett Horn, and Emmett Horn; mother, Frances Wright; brother, Mike Wright (Margie); his faithful caregiver Rhonda Toney; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Mobile on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to als.org/donate Alabama Chapter.
