Shirley Bee Stokley

Shirley, a long-time resident of Semmes, Alabama, lived her final years with her daughters in Stockton, Alabama. She enjoyed life with a variety of pastimes including reading romance novels, putting together puzzles, and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite activity was playing card games with her family, which she continued to do throughout her entire life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stokley; her parents, Alex and Erma Strickland; her children, Arley Carl Burgett and Sonya Blackwell; and her sisters, Mary Etheredge, Evyonne Stokes, and Velma Phillips.

Shirley is survived by her children, Christine Linville (Tom), Judy Wesson (Kenny), Sherry Morris (Jimmy), Patsy Charles (John), Henry Burgett (Kathy), Belinda Bradley (Jerry), and Scotty Stokley (Susan); her siblings Nell Pugh, Beatrice Baggett, David Strickland, and Alice Craven; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.

Services will take place on Monday, December 13th, 2021, at Radney Funeral Home located at 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. Family will receive friends from 11:00-11:30am. There will be a small chapel service from 11:30. Interment will occur at approximately 12:30pm at Pine Crest cemetery located at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile Alabama 36605.
