Sandra Ray, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at Providence/USA Hospital. Sandra was born on December 20, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama to Lawrence and Tennie Lou (Sandy) Balentine. Sandra was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama.
Sandra is survived by James A. “Jimbo” Ray (Lisa) and Steven L. Ray (Mary); grandchildren, Shelby, Lindsey, David, Dylan, and Peyton; seven great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Sarah Balentine; sister, Joyce Flannagan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie James Ray; parents, Lawrence and Tennie Lou
Balentine; sisters, Glen, Janie, Gladys, Betty, and Jean; and brothers, Billy and Bobby Balentine.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
