Robert Wesley Copeland

Robert was born to David Wesley Copeland, Jr. and Glenda Cole Hoffman on June 29, 1964 in Mobile, Alabama. He worked as a 1st class welder for many companies, before succumbing to mental illness in his late twenties.

Robert had a great love for shrimping and fishing – but his favorite past-time was listening to the radio. He had a great sense of humor, and was such a giving person. Robert will be greatly missed.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and step-father of forty years, Alvin R. Hoffman.

He is survived by his step-mother of thirty-three years, Barbara Copeland; three sisters, Darlene Givens, Debra Davidson, and Donna Copeland; as well as many other cherished family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home, located at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, with a graveside service in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.

The family would like to thank those who have accepted responsibility as pallbearers: Aaron Davidson (nephew), Dallas Givens (nephew), Michael Evans (brother-in-law), Steven Cole (cousin), Allen “Re-run” Richey (friend/coworker), and Robert Winhauer (friend/neighbor).
