Mr Richard Geer Morgan

Richard Geer Morgan, 76, (May 10, 1938-February 20,2015), a native of Douglasville, GA, and resident of Mobile, died February 20, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sally Adair Heubach Morgan and his parents Rex Garner Morgan and Willie May Geer Morgan. He is survived by his brother, John Michael Morgan (Jane), his daughter Susan Elyse Morgan Martin (Jeff), Marietta, GA, his sons David Heubach Morgan, Sylacauga, Paul Ernest Morgan (Kristi) and Andrew King Morgan (Wendy), Lake Worth, FL, grandchildren Katharine Morgan Martin, Edward Banks Martin, Garner Adams Martin, Ciara Nicole Morgan, Claire Elizabeth Morgan, Grantham Rhodes Morgan, Bennett Phillips Morgan, Heather Elizabeth Powell, Lillian Kristine Morgan, dearest cousin Selwyn Sewell Edwards (Littleton, CO), numerous cousins, nieces and a nephew. He attended Westlawn School and was graduated from Murphy High School, "Tough as Nails, Hard as Bricks, Murphy Class of '56". A graduate of Auburn University, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. A commissioned Air Force officer, he flew as a pilot during the Vietnam War. Mr. Morgan was a Vice President with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith prior to forming Riverside Capital Management, Inc. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Friends of the Library, c/o Mobile Public Library, 107 Government Street Mobile, AL, The Auburn University Sailing Club 204 Student Activities Center, 671 Roosevelt Drive, Auburn University, AL 36849-5324 or First Baptist Church of Mobile, 806 Government Street.Services will be held Saturday February 28 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m.at First Baptist Church of Mobile, interment following at Pine Crest Cemetery 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway Mobile AL.
