Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Milburn Smith, Jr. and Carrie Jean “Tut” Bryars Smith. Survivors include his sisters: Sandra Smith Hudson of Mobile and her daughter, Ashley Alane Hudson, and Kelley Smith Evers (Jay) of Birmingham and their sons Grady Alexander Evers and John Wensley Evers; step-son: Richard Harski, Jr. (Nicole) and their children George Harski and Camille Harski; other relatives plus several dedicated and dependable friends who were Randy’s band of brothers – you know who you are. A special thank you to his cousin, Dr. Charles Henry Bryars, III who was always there for him.
After graduating from Murphy High School in 1974, Randy attended Auburn University, where he played on the rugby team, and graduated in 1978. He was an Auburn fan, a member of KOR and was involved with Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Mobile. An avid hunter, Randy was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. All his friends agree he was a great host by sharing his love for the outdoors on family land that they all came to love through the years because of his generosity.
