Philip Lee Rush, 56, a native Mobilian, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on May 5, 2022, after unexpectedly collapsing on a job site. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Myrtle P. Rush; father, Walter N. Rush; and brothers, and Robin P. Rush. He is survived by brothers Walter N. (Ruby) Rush, Richard G. Rush, and Martin G. (Lisa) Rush; and sister, Vicki R. (Tommy) Smith; other special relatives and friends.
Philip will be remembered as a kind-hearted Christian man. He consistently studied and shared God’s word. Philip enjoyed church activities, traveling, gardening, Alabama football, his Amway business, and pets including his cat, Tonto. He was a past member of Dauphin Way Baptist and current member of Forest hill Church of God. Philip graduated from B.C. Rain High School and was a well-respected employee of Cook’s Pest Control for 25 years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, 5-7pm at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway and on Friday, May 13, at noon until the start of the service at 1pm at Pine Crest Chapel. Memorials can be made to Forest hill Church of God Singles Ministry or to a favorite Christian charity.
