She was born September 26, 1941 to the late Maude and Sam Keese of Chattanooga, Tennessee and loved being the baby of the three Keese sisters.
Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her sister Jane Keese Ragland; her son Lawrence Ulman Sims; and grandson Henry Joseph Finnorn.
She graduated from the Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga and later attended the
University of Alabama where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She was a faithful and very devoted member of Springhill Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon along with many other roles. She was also a member of the Junior League and served on the Board of the Salvation Army. Her true gift was caring for and loving people. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Larry Ulman Sims; her two daughters Susan Sims Ferguson (Dick) and Mary Keese Sims Finnorn (Timothy); her grandchildren Richard Sims Ferguson, Lucy Keese Ferguson, John Tidwell Ferguson, Anna Lawrence Finnorn, William Evans Finnorn, and Sarah Sims Finnorn. Also surviving is her dear sister Carol Keese Stephenson of Chattanooga, Tennessee along with her many nieces and nephews that she adored.
