Merle M. Payne, age 95, a native of Enterprise, AL, and resident of Mobile, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Jeff Miller, her husband, Gordon Payne, her sister, Ava Lee Lammons, and her brother, Robert Miller. She is survived by her two children, James (Barbara) Maddox of Katy, TX, and Leigh Anne Akey of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Alan Maddox, George (Amanda) Heathco, Amanda Akey, and Abigail Akey; and three great-grandchildren, Josh Maddox, Macie Maddox, and Ella Heathco. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donnie and Linda Grandquist. A visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Meadow Lawn Memorial Gardens in Enterprise, AL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to In Worship P.O.
