Melvin Patrick Kelly

Mr. Melvin Patrick Kelly, age 83, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Joseph and Bessie Marie Lane Kelly, son, Charles P. Kelly, Sr. daughter, Linda Darlene Kelly Davis and brother, Frank Kelly. Mr. Kelly was an avid horseman, having owned thoroughbred race horses. He will be remembered for his “Tin Man” at Miller Creek, and for his hard work. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Kelly is survived by his children, Peter Joseph Kelly, Sr., Stanley Wayne Kelly (Sandy) and Rita Marie Kelly. He is also survived by his siblings, Ivan Kelly (Linda), Phyllis Nolfe (Sam); grandchildren, Peter Joseph Kelly, Jr., special granddaughter and caregiver, Talena Diane Kelly (Robert), Patrick, Billy, Chuck, Jonathan and Krystal, great-granddaughter, Destiny Diane Finch, very special friends, Danny Stacey and Betty Dumas many other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Memorial Park.
