She was born January 5, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Jay and Eva Ludlow. She had four siblings-Jim, Dorothy, Miggy, and George.
Mary was a cadet nurse during World War II, and she married the love of her life in 1945. She was known for her kindness, gentleness, and sweet nature and showed love and grace to everyone she met.
She was a devout Methodist woman and was a member of Christ United Method Church. She was a passionate bridge enthusiast, and her Scrabble skills were unparalleled. She loved birds, gardening, sewing, music, and volunteer work. She was a volunteer with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra and Open Doors, a united Methodist non-profit organization.
She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Lyle Fuller, for 52 years. They had four children-John Fuller, 74, of Healdsburg, CA, Tim Fuller, 70, of West Hills, CA, Jayne Ballard, 68, of Mobile, AL, and Paul Fuller, 65, of Portsmouth, RI. In addition to her children, she is survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery West. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Lifegate Ministry at Christ United Methodist Church.
