Martin James "Cap" Walsh

Mr. Martin James “Cap” Walsh passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard B. and Margaret Van Heuvel Walsh, sister Margaret Walsh Hancock and brother Michael Van Heuvel Walsh, Sr. Mr. Walsh was a dedicated member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Athelstan Club and was a member of a mystic organization. Cap is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Baby Walsh, children Martin James Walsh, Jr. (Mary), Meg Walsh Finkbohner (Ryan), Richard Bernard Walsh and Stevens Crosland Walsh. He is also survived by his sister Grace Walsh Carroll and grandchildren Ashley A. Walsh, Martin J. Walsh, III, Patrick, Margaret and Mary Beverly Finkbohner. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care of Mr. Walsh to Ashland Place and Spring Hill Hospice. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. The family will receive friends in the Marion Center from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A private inurnment will be held in Magnolia Cemetery at a later date.
