Margurite Harrington Neiden, 91, of Mobile, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2024. Margurite was born in 1933 in Brewton, Alabama to William and Minnie Slaughter Harrington, and raised in Mobile. She graduated from Murphy High School in 1952. She met the love of her life, Warren Neiden, and was married in 1952. They spent 69 wonderful years together, until his death in 2021.
Margurite was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Neiden; son, Michael W. Neiden; son-in-law, John E. Olsen; parents, William and Minnie Harrington; and sister, Billie Chambless.
She is survived by her son, Warren E. Neiden, Jr. (Beth); daughters, Debbie N. Olsen and Karen D. Neiden; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and extended family.
The family wishes to express their sincere love and gratitude to her caregivers for their kindness, support and loving care; Lula Crum, Kenya Bass and Alexis Dixon.
Visitation for Margurite will be held from 12:30-2:00 on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Pine Crest Funeral Home in Mobile, Alabama. A chapel service will immediately follow, which will be officiated by Rev. Wayne Miller of Grace Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Tyler Olsen, Jordan Olsen, Michael E. Neiden, Landon Neiden, John Oberkirch, and Sylvester Pointer.
