Margaret Dees Jackson, 87, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on May 5, 2018 in her home. Her life and legacy will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at City Church of Mobile, 3750 Michael Blvd., Mobile, Alabama 36609.
Margaret was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 21, 1930, the daughter of Vander and May Dees. She was married to Leon Curtis Jackson in 1946 until his death in 2014. Margaret lived most of her life in Mobile, Alabama where she and her late husband worked and raised their family. Margaret retired from the Corps of Engineers after many years of Civil Service.
Margaret and Curtis were faithful Christians who devoted years to their church serving as volunteers. They were huge supporters of World Missions traveling across the world to build churches and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Their 3 grandsons brought much joy to their lives and in recent years with the addition of great-grandchildren, that joy multiplied. They loved traveling with family and friends all over the world and the US. They loved to go anywhere and anytime.
Margaret is survived by her loving daughters, Carol Davis of Kenner, LA and Kay Woodward and son-in-law, Galen of Albuquerque, NM and 3 grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Dustin (Mandy)Woodward, Jonathan (Jessica) Woodward, Brandon (Delaney) Woodward all of Albuquerque; 7 beautiful great-grandchildren, Avery Woodward, Aiden Woodward, Asher Woodward, Azlyn Woodward, Lucy Woodward, Jackson Woodward, Finley Woodward and 1 on the way.
