Funeral Services for Mr. Lawrence Edward Webb will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Semmes First Baptist Church, Visitation will be from 9:30- 11:00 followed by burial at at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Lawrence was born on September 10th 1935 in Frisco City, Al, and passed away peacefully in his home on September 7th 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents Dalton and Lucy Webb (parents), Timothy W. Mayo (grandson), William R. Evans (son in law), and beloved siblings, nieces and nephews. His surviving family Sherry Barnett Webb (wife), Cheryl Evans (daughter), Amanda Dasinger, Carrie Ellisor (Jeffrey)- (granddaughters), Jameson, Grant, Vivien, Clara Nell Hecker (great grandchildren), surviving siblings Buddy Webb (Janice), Margaret Bell, Rita Gully, Maryann Pendleton. Lawrence was a man who loved the Lord and his family, he was a leader in his community by serving as a City Councilman in Semmes, AL. Mr. Webb served as a Deacon and greeter at Semmes First Baptist, the Board of Directors for the Mission of Hope, Vice President of Mobile West Camp of Gideons International, policeman of the year in Prichard in 1969, as well as Soldier of the Month- U.S. Army (1955) and served in Korea, Lawrence serviced the Nursery industry in Semmes for 40 plus years cultivating numerous friendships through the years. He also helped serve his community in many ways and was beloved by anyone he encountered.
