Joshua James Ellsworth – 39, our beloved son, father and friend passed on to Heaven on May 7, 2023, at University of South Alabama Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1983, in Mobile, Alabama to Joseph Henry Ellsworth Jr. and Janice Rowell Ellsworth. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing baseball and being with his family and friends. He attended St. Dominic Catholic School and graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, finishing his education at Bishop State Community College. After being a CO-OP student with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he continued his career with the Corps as a Construction Control Inspector at the Irvington Site Office in Mobile, Alabama for 21 years. Joshua is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Williouse Ellsworth, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Edison and Margaret Rowell. He is survived by his daughter, Eloise Elaine Ellsworth, and her mother Christina Ellsworth; his parents, Joseph and Janice Ellsworth, Jr.; his brothers, William Ellsworth, Joseph Ellsworth, III, Jonathan (Rachel) Ellsworth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. We will miss his friendliness, smiles and his warm hugs. Family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6300 McKenna Rd., Mobile, AL on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM with the family receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the mass.
