Jeffery Columbus Collins

Jeffery Columbus Collins was born August 9, 1963 in Mobile, Alabama to the late John Wesley Collins, Jr. and Eula Mae (Young) Collins. He made his transition from life to his eternal home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Jeffery confessed his love for Christ at an early age. While walking along his Christian journey, he became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where Reverend Corey D. Brown is the pastor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Collins, Jr. and Eula Mae (Young) Collins, his brother Rev. John W. Collins, III; and his nephew Master Eddie Lee Giles, III.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his devoted and loving sister Mamie (Eddie) Giles; brother John Grossley, Sr., aunt Ruby Hardy of Birmingham, AL; nieces: Kierra Giles, Kiara Grossley, Angel Maye, Shavontee Sewell and Laporsha White; nephews: John Grossley, Jr. and Justin Perryman; friend: Gloria Coleman.

Funeral service will be held at Whispering Pine Cemetery on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for the immediate family only where Rev. Dennis Stephens from Mt. Shiloh Baptist in Nokomis, AL will be officiating the service.
